Free undress AI: what the free tiers actually give you

“Free undress AI” is the most common search in this category and the most misleading. In our sample no tool offers unrestricted free use. What exists are trial tiers designed to show the interface and push you to a paid plan.

PornWorks lets guests generate one watermarked image per day and puts registered free users in a slow queue; UndressHer gives one watermarked token per day; JoyFun.ai allows five runs; WaveSpeed credits new accounts with $1 that covers roughly eight clothes-changer runs at $0.12 each.

Ainudez, the editor’s pick, has no free tier at all — the cheapest pack is $9.99 for 500 credits, and one image costs 15 credits, so the effective price is about $0.30 per image. Deep-Undress has no confirmed free plan and shows its full price list only after registration; UndressWith generates without an account but keeps the preview below HD until you pay $0.99 per unlock.

The practical rule: a free tier tells you whether the interface works and how long the queue is, but not what the paid quality looks like. Watermarks in free tiers are usually visible; whether a paid plan removes them is documented in each Polish review. How undress AI apps work — and why quality varies

All twelve scored tools rely on the same family of techniques: a diffusion model (in most cases a Stable Diffusion or FLUX derivative) combined with inpainting. The app detects the clothed region, masks it and asks the model to fill the mask with a plausible continuation of the visible skin, lighting and pose.

The result is a synthetic image — the model does not “see through” anything; it invents what is under the mask.

This explains the quality spread in the table. Tools that fine-tune their models (UndressHer with anime templates, Ainudez with a dedicated pipeline) produce more consistent results than general inference platforms such as WaveSpeed, where the clothes-changer is one endpoint among many.

Face swap tools such as SwapFaces.ai are a different technique altogether: they replace a face on an existing image or video rather than editing clothing, which is why its score has no per-criterion breakdown.

Speed depends on queue policy more than on model size. Deep-Undress scored 9.7 for speed because paid generations bypass the queue; PornWorks scored 8.5 because free accounts wait. Video adds a second dimension: Ainudez bills 50 credits for a 5-second 480p clip, MyIMG.ai limits clips to 3–8 seconds, JoyFun.ai allows up to 10 seconds in 1080p.

Privacy: the criterion that decides the ranking

Privacy carries 30% of the score because it is where the tools differ most and where the consequences for the user are largest. We check four things: how long uploaded files are kept, whether deletion can be requested and is confirmed, which payment data the operator collects, and whether the terms are readable before you pay.

The spread is wide. Ainudez declares deletion within 48 hours and accepts card and crypto payments (privacy 9.2). WaveSpeed deletes files within 7 days and documents it in its API terms (8.7). PornWorks does not fully document its retention period (privacy 9.1 — the gap is flagged in the review).

JoyFun.ai scored 5.8 — the lowest in the set — because retention and deletion are not documented at all. Dreemy.ai shows its prices only at checkout, which we count against transparency (7.5).
